Pencwarre Ponies

Welcome to Pencwarre Ponies, Poultry & Waterfowl.  The website was founded in 2009 by Lisa Parry and Chris Thomas.

Pencwarre Ponies, Poultry & Waterfowl is located at Llandygwydd which is in the county of Ceredigion,  near the beautiful Teifi River.  Pencwarre is a traditional mixed working farm with breath-taking views.

The Poultry & Waterfowl began as a hobby.  It is now intended to produce chickens and ducks for their breed quality (showing potential).  We can cater for those who want chickens as pets (docile breed) or those for their renowned egg production.  The stock includes rare breeds as well as popular breeds.  The range includes pure bred chickens/ bantams, broody hens as well as  POL (of various ages & colours).  Our breeding stock mean a lot to us (we go as far as naming selected characters). 

The Section B stud has been inspired by the quality of Section B’s in the area.  Those to mention are the Weston Stud, Downland, Cadlan Valley and Eyarth Stud.  We wanted to produce ponies bred by ourselves to show in hand, under saddle, dressage and riding ponies.  The breeding itself has been popular and have been exported to various countries.  This type of bloodlines proven to go on and be very successful.  The breeding allows us to provide ourselves and others with quality ponies that consists of character and substance.

These ponies are the foundation to the Pencwarre Ponies therefore it’s only fair that they are on our homepage picture.  The one on the left is Gelert Y Glen and the one on the right is Puddingwood Temptress.  Gelert Y Glen is a half brother to Puddingwood Temptress.  These are precious ponies to us and have great prospects for the future.
